Three Arrested In Waterford Marijuana Grow

Waterford, CA-Stanislaus Sheriff Deputies and the Stanislaus Drug Enforcement Agency arrested three men today while investigating a marijuana grow located in the 200 block of S Western Ave in Waterford.

On Friday September 27th Waterford Zoning Officer could see the large marijuana grow from the road and reported it to authorities.

Today at approximately 9:30 am, Deputies from the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department Waterford Police Services went to the residence to investigate the grow. Upon arrival one subject ran from the residence and was not located. Two additional subjects, later identified as 26 year old Raymond Adams and 21 year old Miguel Ruiz, both from Sacramento, were located on the property.

During the investigation Deputies located a marijuana grow on property in the back of the residence. The grow was surrounded by a tall six to eight foot fence. 36 plants ranging from four to ten feet in height were located.

Stanislaus Drug Enforcement Agency was contacted and responded to assist.

During the investigation a drying room with harvested marijuana was located in an adjacent building on the property.

While at the residence the owner of the property, Ernest Ruiz JR, age 39, returned home. He lives at the residence with his wife and two sons, ages 20 and 6.

Ernest Ruiz JR was later arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Mens Jail for cultivation of marijuana, conspiracy, child endangerment, and possession of marijuana for sales.
