Stop Motion Poetry & Sensations Wins Valley’s Got Talent 2012[VIDEO]

MODESTO, CA – Indie/Pop band group Stop Motion Poetry of Modesto & the four-person all female group of The Sensations, also of Modesto, were declared the winners of the 3rd Annual Valley’s Got Talent 2012 competition at the Gallo Center for the Arts. Each will share the $1,500 E & J Gallo Winery Grand Prize.

The two groups beat out 23 other acts (142 total performers) to claim the big prize. Other prize winners were Gregory Pyatt, Heath Rojan, Drew Mondon and Ryan Maharaj. They each won $750 and Rojas claimed an additional $500, which was awarded as a college music scholarship.

Instead of the five judges as promised, the competition had 7 judges. The judges were casting director Robert Ulrich, actress Kim Johnston Ulrich (wife of casting director), Melanee Wyatt, Grace Lieberman, Britta Foster, local Modesto newspaper publisher Eric Johnston and Jim Johnson. Additionally there was an audience vote, so essentially there were 8 judges.
