Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers are scheduled for a performance at Modesto’s Gallo Center for the Arts. The sold-out event will be held on Thursday, August 30 at 8:00pm.
Organizers are calling the event “An Evening of Bluegrass and Comedy”. Martin is more known for his comedy acts than bluegrass music. He pickup up the band and started to play when he was 17 years-old. Throughout the years, he has perfected his playing.
Watching Martin and his band playing bluegrass will be difficult for many. Many people will have the urge to get up and start dancing. If you do, you’ll either be escorted out of the event or be scorned by attendees, it may be best that you stay put and just listen the beauty of bluegrass.
The Modesto performance will be Martin’s second to last scheduled event with Steep Canyon Rangers for the 2012 calendar year. Yesterday, Martin performed in Livermore at Wente Vineyards. His last performance with the Rangers will be on September 01 in Los Angeles at the Pantages Theater.
