The Sierra View Music Festival 2012 in Oakdale, CA is set for August 24-25. The outdoor festival, presented by the Heidi Brunk Foundation, aims to raise scholarship money for music students. For 2012, the organizers hope to raise at least $25,000 for the scholarship fund.
The two day event will feature bands with national recognition. The bands are Gloriana, Edens Edge, Night Ranger and Winger. On Friday, gates are open at 5pm and on Saturday, they are open at 1pm. Both days has an end time of 12am.
General admission tickets will cost $45 at the gate or visitors can get it for presale for a $10 discount. A separate ticket is required per day, one for country on Friday and one for rock on Saturday. There will be a VIP area with special accommodations however; it may cost an arm and a leg for many, given the state of the economy.
Attendees are urged to bring sunscreen, blankets, camera, proper ID and cash to the event. Alcoholic beverages will be sold at the event and no outside drinks are welcome. The location of the musical festival will be at “JH” Ranch at 12713 Sierra View Road, which is out in the boonies and is essentially a huge space of dead grass.
