Modesto, CA– Modesto Police detectives continue to look for leads in the disappearance of a 28-year-old Modesto woman. Police believe her disappearance is suspicious and are asking for anyone who may have information about this case to call.
Modesto Police became aware of the disappearance of Eldoris Christine Graham on Saturday, December 15th when Graham’s mother called when Graham failed to show up for work. Officers learned Graham’s mother last spoke to Graham on Thursday, December 13th, when Graham indicated she was going to be traveling to the Bay Area with her live-in boyfriend, 36-year-old Anthony Devon Coxum. Graham’s mother became concerned when she had not heard from Graham in the proceeding days and reported Graham as missing when Graham failed to show up for work.
Investigators initially spoke to Coxum, who said he dropped Graham off in the Bay Area. Investigators attempted to follow-up on the initial information provided by Coxum, however, as the investigation progressed, it became evident Coxum had been inconsistent in his statements and not forthcoming.
The investigation became more complex on December 27th, when investigators learned Coxum had been stopped and arrested by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Coxum was arrested for probation violations by local authorities in North Carolina. At the time Coxum was arrested, he was driving Graham’s vehicle. To date, investigators have not been able to locate Graham and Coxum has not been cooperative in this missing person investigation.
Investigators are releasing the booking photograph of Coxum and a picture of Graham’s vehicle and are asking the public to call the Modesto Police Department if they recall seeing Coxum, Graham and the vehicle during the time of her disappearance.
Coxum is described as being 5’-7” tall and weighing 180 lbs. He is previously resided in Oakland, Ca.
Graham’s vehicle is a beige 1994 Pontiac Bonneville 4-door passenger car. This vehicle was towed by authorities when Coxum was arrested and the vehicle remains in the possession of authorities in North Carolina.
