Road Repair Report 11/9/12

 

PROJECT:
Sylvan Avenue and Litt Road Improvements
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for August 2013.
IMPACT:
Traffic controls are in place with one lane of travel on Sylvan Avenue from Millbrook Avenue to Claus Road. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone and use alternate routes when possible.
Note: Litt Road north of Sylvan Avenue to Plainview Road will be closed beginning Monday, October 8th through April 2013.

PROJECT:
Carpenter Road Bridge Seismic Retrofit
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for June 2013.
IMPACT:
Traffic controls are in place with narrow lanes and delays are anticipated due to one way traffic controls in effect Tuesday, November 13th thru Friday, November 16th. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone and use alternate routes when possible.  Oversized and Wide Load Vehicles should use alternate routes.

PROJECT:
Gas Main Replacement by PG&E
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected by November 15th.
IMPACT:
Traffic controls will be in place. Lane closure and shifts will be along Standiford Avenue from Dale Road to Sisk Road. Eastbound Standiford Avenue will be closed and detours will be in place. Construction hours are 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the day and from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. during the night for these locations. Beginning Monday, October 22nd, south of the intersection of Sisk Road and Rumble Road, Sisk Road southbound will be reduced to one lane of traffic, 24 hours per day, including weekends. Beginning October 31st, south of the intersection of Sisk Road and Rumble Road, Sisk Road southbound and northbound will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction, 24 hours per day. Work in this area is expected to be complete and all traffic lanes open by November 15th. Speed limit will be reduced through the work zone. Detours will be in place to assist drivers and there may be delays. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and pay attention to signage. Drivers should use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays. Advanced warning signs and electronic arrow signs are in place to alert drivers of the approaching road work. For further information about this work contact PG&E directly at (559) 317-8857.
