Police Requesting Public’s Help in Locating Second Home Invasion Suspect

Ceres, California – On May 13, 2013 at approximately 10:48 PM, Ceres Police responded to the 3400 block of South Central Avenue for a report of a robbery. The homeowner and another man were in the shop behind his house when two individuals approached them. One individual, who goes by the street moniker of “Too Tall,” pointed an unknown caliber handgun at the owner and demanded his wallet. The homeowner handed the wallet to the assailants and both suspects fled the scene. The victims do not personally know the suspects, however, recognized “Too Tall” from seeing him in the area and knew his moniker.

Ceres Police officers are also familiar with “Too Tall,” who is a Ceres resident. His real name is Robert William Hendy and he was positively identified by the victims in a photo line-up. Officers searched the area and at 2:27 AM, Sergeant John King saw Robert William Hendy walking in the area of Central and Whitmore Avenue with another male.

While taking Robert William Hendy into custody, the subject he was walking with, who is believed to be the second suspect, fled the area. A perimeter was established but the other man was not located. Robert William Hendy was arrested for home invasion and resisting arrest.

The second suspect was described as a 25-35 year old, 5’6”-5’9” white or light-skinned Hispanic male. His build was described as being stocky and he may go by the street name “Green Eyes” or “Tino.” Anyone with information about this case or the at-large, unidentified suspect is encouraged to call Detective Derek Perry (209) 538-5730.
