The City of Modesto Police Department, Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department’s Maddux Youth Center and Target will be presenting the Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5, at the Maddux Youth Center, located at 615 Sierra Drive from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The event is free and one of the many neighborhood block parties presented throughout the nation as the community joins in celebration of the National Night Out.
The block parties provide an opportunity to get to know your neighbors as they bring awareness of the importance of neighborhood watch and citizens united against crime. The goal of the event is to build neighborhood spirit and unity in support of anti-crime programs.
The event will provide music entertainment, and feature an exciting list of dynamic special guest performances of “Folklorico Iscali Aztec Dancers,” “Ballet Folklorico Dance Group”, “Dream Catchers Drill Team” “Grupo Folklorico Dance Group”, “Gods Men at Work Group”, “Victory In Praise Group”, “Aciemarie solo artist”, and the “Duet Faithful Group” . The program will also provide community resource booth information, children activities, free BBQ and refreshments. All are invited to attend the free family event.
