Modesto Lifeguard Training Class

Did you know that 1 in 4 people know someone who has drowned? Help prevent drowning deaths by training to become a certified Lifeguard! The City of Modesto Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department offers American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and Title 22 Certification courses! These classes teach you everything you need to succeed as a lifeguard. Successful completion will guarantee you 2 years in the following certifications: Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and Title 22 for 3 years. • The first session offered this season will be 6 classes held February 19-February 28 , Fridays 5-8pm, Saturday and Sundays 9am-5pm.

• The next session will be held during Modesto City Schools Spring Break Monday, March 28-Saturday, April 2, 9am-5pm.

• The final session will be held April 18-April 28 and will consist of 8 sessions: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 5-8pm and Saturday and Sunday 8am-5pm.

All classes are held at Johansen High School Pool, 641 Norseman Avenue in Modesto.
Course is for ages 15+ and cost is $300.
