On Wednesday, June 02, 2010, George W. Bush was in an economic club meeting in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He commented that he allowed the waterboarding torture of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
Speaking to a large group of members and spectators, this admittance did not come to a shock to many. Bush went further and said that he would “do it again to save [American] lives.”
Bush admission comes in a time when his former vice president critically condemned current President Obama on his management of the war in the Middle East. When asked about if he had any public outcries against the Obama administration, Bush responded that no one would see him in public “criticizing the president.”
Bush also admitted that he prayed heavenly throughout his administration. It was something that he did not do often when he was the sitting governor of Texas. Bush is set to release his personal memoir in November 2010, titled “Decision Points.”
