According to the Princeton Review, CSU Stanislaus is ranked in the top 20 stone-cold sober list of 2012. Coming at #20, CSU Stanislaus in Turlock is one of two California universities to be ranked on the list. The other school to be ranked is Pepperdine University in Malibu.
Universities ranked in the top 20 sober list are led by military and/or religious led schools. The #1 ranked school is Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah. BYU is known to be a strict Mormon dominated university with high standards and achievements.
On the other hand, the university in Turlock, which started its Fall 2012 semester today, is known to be a sleepy town in the Central Valley of California. It’s a college town with not many things to do other than study and/or wonder around in one of its many shopping centers that litter the agricultural rich soils along Highway 99.
