Congressman Denham to Deliver Donated Books to Modesto School Libraries Wednesday

(Modesto, CA) — U.S. Representative Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) will deliver an assortment of books to two Modesto elementary schools on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, to be donated to their school libraries.  Denham will also read to students from one of the selected books at Sonoma Elementary School and Capistrano Elementary School during his visit.  Over the last year, Rep. Denham’s office has been collecting surplus books from the Library of Congress to help stock and replace books in schools across the Central Valley.

“Donating these books is a simple way to help our local schools stock their shelves and replace older books for our bright young students to enjoy,” said Denham. “If your school would like to request books from the surplus collection at the Library of Congress, please contact my Modesto Office at 209-579-5458 to find out more information.”
