City of Modesto and In-Shape Health Clubs Attempt to Break World Record

In-Shape Health Clubs and the City of Modesto Parks & Recreation Department are teaming together to break the WORLD RECORD for the largest Zumbatomic® class. All children under the age of 15 are encouraged to participate!

“We are very excited to have some fun in the park and break a world record, it’s a cool opportunity for our members and the community to make history” said Rob Farrens, Chief Marketing Officer of In-Shape Health Clubs. “It’s nice to offer the community a safe, upbeat environment to get active and have fun!”

Zumbatomic® is a form of Zumba® aerobics targeting children under the age of 15. The current record is 383 children, In-Shape is aiming for 400+. Participants will be required to perform a series of routines presented by a Zumba® certified instructor(s) over the course of 30 minutes.

In regards to the event Julie Hannon, the City of Modesto’s Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Director said, “Getting kids moving is a top priority for the City of Modesto and we are excited to partner with In-Shape Health Clubs to promote Zumbatonic!”

Interested participants can join the attempt at Enslen Park, located at 501 Stoddard Avenue in Modesto on Saturday, October 20th. Registration starts at 9:00 am. There’ll be free gifts, prizes and fun for everyone! There is no fee to participate, however we are suggesting a $1 donation to the Modesto Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department.
