Charlie Weis To Florida Gators As Offensive Coordinator? Leaves Kansas City Chiefs Football???

by Thomas J Andrews on December 31, 2010

According to ESPN, University of Florida Gators new head coach, Will Muschamp, has reached out to Charlie Weis. Muschamp is expected to hire Weis as the offensive coordinator, in the 2011 college football season, to run its pro-style offense. Weis is currently the offensive coordinator for the upstart Kansas City Chiefs. The news surprised Chiefs head coach Todd Haley when asked by reporters.

The reports also surprised me when it was said that he will accept the new position. Weis was a college football head coach failure. He failed at Notre Dame and my prediction is that he’ll fail wherever he goes when it comes to coaching in the college game. Weis is a mastermind in the NFL leading a resurging Chiefs team that is destined to host its 1st playoff game in many years. But for Weis to go back to coach in college, means that he is unsatisfied with his current job. We will soon find out more if the reports are true. Right now, everything is speculated.
